Digital Writer
We’re always looking out for smart-working, savvy digital writers who can transcend B2B and B2C brands across multiple channels.
Key responsibilities
- Research, write and manage the production of content for public relations, social and digital media
- Ability to write various types of content, including presentations, through the line copy, website content, e-mail and other campaign copy, editorial-style articles and newsletter copy, blogs, personal profiles, video and radio scripts
- Content generation for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer
- Work closely with team to drive content strategy, with correct tone, messaging and effectiveness, providing value for the brand and developing core messages
- The ability to understand a brand’s tone of voice and research relevant content
- Develop content that the media and online influencers will pick up on and publish
- Adapt content for various digital and social channels
- Review and edit content to ensure consistent voice, correct grammar, spelling and syntax
- Astute attention to detail
- Familiarity with search engine optimisation, including keyword strategy, key term discovery and content optimisation
- Astute copy editing and proof reading skills
- Ability to interpret clients’ briefs
Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and craft world-class copy and creative ideas
- Work closely with designers, community managers and account managers to conceptualise and craft creative content that is factually correct, fresh, entertaining, engaging and that meets the brief
- Conceptualise and write content for use across all public relations and digital platforms
- Assist in production, recording, editing activities for multimedia content
- Keep up to date on multimedia trends, technologies and techniques
- Create breakthrough content that surprises, delights and engages target audiences.

- Deeply creative and the ability to creatively innovate
- An awareness of current events, pop culture, trends and internet memes
- Experience with a variety of social media platforms
- Be able to take on the voice and personality of specific brands and personas
- Understanding of what constitutes newsworthy copy that journalists will publish
- Understanding of key words and SEO content design
- Strong research, analysis, editing and interviewing skills
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate
- Enthusiasm and a passion for hard work
Experiential requirements
- Degree in Journalism or English literature (non-negotiable)
- Electronic portfolio showcasing your experience (non-negotiable)
- At least 3 – 5 years’ experience as a public relations, digital or content writer
